Job description

R & J Trucking is hiring CDL A Local Utility Drivers in Savannah, GA. These are great opportunities that will have you home to your family every day! R & J Trucking, Inc.is one of the largest Bulk Commodities hauler east of the Mississippi and have been serving the transportation industry for over 50 years.

Compensation

  • Average Weekly Pay: $1,250-$1,400 per week
    • Newly hired drivers in this role currently earn an average of $1,300 per week, depending on attendance and individual performance.
    • Pay based on an industry leading percentage (%) of linehaul structure
    • Additional % for seniority and meeting individual weekly performance goals
  • Bonuses
    • Referral bonuses up to $900 per referral
    • Performance and safety bonuses available
  • paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

  • Home every night
  • Day shift, start times will vary
  • This position will run mostly at end dumps with occasional fill ins on pneumatic cement runs as needed
  • Monday-Friday, occasional weekend may be required
  • Drop and Hook routes out of Savannah, do not need to enter landfill!
  • All routes within 100 air miles of Savannah

Equipment

  • End Dump, Tipper Trailers, Dry Bulk Pneumatic
    • Will train drivers on equipment
  • Peterbilts & Macks
  • Offer newer, state of the art equipment with safety features, electronic logs

Qualifications

  • Must have valid CDL A License
  • 23 years of age
  • 1 year of recent, safe, verifiable commercial tractor-trailer experience
    • Dump truck experience preferred but not required
  • Good MVR and CSA scores
  • Must be able to pass a DOT pre-employment physical and drug test
  • Must be able to pass a road test and essential job functions test
  • Hiring radius: 50 miles around Savannah, GA
