Position Summary:

Create and prepare entrees for this upscale store with the intent of expanding our chef-prepared program from cold service to hot service and the sales floor. Prepare and present deli items at a high level of talent in variety and quality by utilizing products from meat, produce and deli to develop dishes for the hot bar presentation. Assist in the merchandising and development of cold recipes following company guidelines. Analyze costs for new recipes, determine profitability and compute weekly purchases. All items must be prepared in accordance with the company's food handling guidelines. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

    Desired Previous Job Experience:
    • Food Service/Restaurant experience
    Minimum Position Qualifications:
    • Certificate or ACF Credentials
    • Good verbal and written communication skills required
    • Commitment to providing customer service
    • Kosher Certified
    Essential Functions:
    • Skilled in proper customer service
    • Prepares all food product to established standards and recipes
    • Prepares signs and prices product in cases
    • Sets up and maintains stock conditions and appearance of hot presentation and cases
    • Available to work flexible schedules that include weekends, evenings, and holidays
    • Maintains cleanliness of work area
    • Maintains work flow and production efficiencies
    • Oversee and train Deli personnel on product preparation and presentation
    • Ensure that staff adheres to all Food Safety, HACCP and Sanitation procedures
    • Engage customers at peak hours forming relationships, soliciting feedback and ensuring customer satisfaction, to solidify customer loyalty
    • Track shrink on a daily basis
    • Be responsible for setting up Silent Demos through the entire store and all departments
    • Participate in Community events, Fundraisers, Cook-Offs and other Media events
    • Ensure all Kroger policies and procedures are followed on a regular basis
    • Possess and continuously demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills
    • Assist in job sharing with Deli functions when needed, while always keeping the Customer First Strategy in mind
    • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
    • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.
