Job description

ABOUT SEASIDE CANNABIS CO.

Seaside Cannabis Co. is an award-winning, locally-owned adult-use cannabis dispensary inOrleans, MA. Since opening in December 2023, we have built a reputation as one of the most distinctive retail cannabis experiences on Cape Cod, known for our deli-style flower bar, the largest cold cannabis beverage selection in Massachusetts, and a genuine connection to the community we serve.

Cape Cod is a seasonal market with a loyal local base and strong summer tourism traffic. Our team is the reason customers come back, and we hold that standard high. We are hiring one full-time and two part-time Budtenders who are excited to be part of what we are building here.

THE ROLE

This is a sales-forward, customer-first position. Our Budtenders are not just order-takers. They are trusted advisors who help every customer find the right product, build their basket, and leave feeling great about the visit. We care about UPT, we care about product knowledge, and we care about the kind of experience that brings people back. If you have a natural ability to connect with people, a genuine passion for cannabis, and a drive to perform, we want to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome every customer with genuine warmth and deliver a consultative, personalized shopping experience from start to finish
  • Drive sales performance by actively recommending products, building UPT, and identifying upsell and add-on opportunities that actually make sense for the customer
  • Maintain deep product knowledge across our full menu including flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, edibles, beverages, topicals, and accessories
  • Ask good questions and listen well to understand what each customer is looking for, whether they are a first-timer or an experienced consumer
  • Stay current on new products, brand education, and promotions through ongoing training
  • Handle POS transactions and cash accurately and in compliance with state regulations
  • Keep the sales floor stocked, organized, and visually sharp throughout your shift
  • Follow all Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission compliance requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A natural salesperson who genuinely enjoys helping people and takes pride in their numbers
  • Strong cannabis product knowledge, or a real hunger to learn it quickly and thoroughly
  • Warm, approachable presence on the floor with strong communication skills
  • Prior retail or hospitality experience is a plus; cannabis experience is a bonus but not required
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team-first attitude
  • Must be 21+ and able to pass a background check
  • Weekend and holiday availability is required
