Job Summary

Leads the project development lifecycle of projects from Greenfield (or MNA) through development, EPC selection/contracting, construction, and turnover to operations. 


Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions

  • Leads development technical due diligence for key projects in the pipeline.
  • Selects and manages engineering consultants for development support and EPC Contractor selection for construction activities.
  • Develops specifications, diagrams, and other contract exhibits to support EPC contract and other development and implementation activities.
  • Oversees engineering during implementation phase. Includes selection of EPC Contractor and their Engineer of Record, hire Owner’s Engineer to assist in technical review, and problem solves issues internally and with consultants. Includes periodic site visits and leading weekly meetings.
  • Supports Terra-Gen’s business unit in developing project economics, including key inputs for the pro forma, coordinating technical matters with an Independent Engineer, and supporting the project’s financial close.
  • Participates in the solicitation, specification, and selection of owner furnished equipment and supports specification and integration of EPC Contractor provided equipment. 
  • Supports long-term HV equipment procurement strategies and contracting.
  • Support the engineering Interconnection engineering including MMA’s, LGIA’s, Utility/ISO coordination.
  • Other duties as assigned

$150,000 - $200,000 annually + bonus

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree required (Electrical Preferred). 
  • 3 years minimum equivalent work experience in project engineering/design or development, renewable energy, 5-10 years’ experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of risk management, cost estimation, and quality control 
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams, including engineering consultants, contractors, and clients, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical for liaising with stakeholders and resolving conflicts.
  • Effective leadership and teamwork to guide multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to anticipate technical challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail ensure accurate documentation, timely approvals, and efficient workflow management

Travel is required that can vary depending on location to local office and project sites. Travel can be via airplane and can require driving. Some project site visits may require PPE. 


Driving required: Ability to drive vehicles on Company business and meet Company’s established Driving Criteria, including maintaining a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.”


Depending on location related to the local office and project site, position can be remote, or hybrid. If hybrid, 25% of time in office is required and additional time may be required as needed for meetings or events .

  • Ability to be present in field in challenging terrain and/or during inclement weather at times.
