Job description

The Project Engineer position is a support level position for the Operations Department. This position is responsible for control and distribution of project documentation, and to assist the Project Manager with subcontractor coordination. This position will work out of the Pittsburgh, PA office location and is assigned to the Operations Department.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with the Operations department to ensure a reliable flow of information.
  • Generate submittal schedule/log based of off specification sections.
  • Review, process, and distribute submittals and samples.
  • Review, process, and distribute RFIs.
  • Assist with recording and distribution of weekly subcontractor and owner meeting minutes.
  • Maintain and distribute submittal & RFI logs.
  • Maintain and distribute current project documentation (plans, specs, sketch logs).
  • Assist project manager in obtaining subcontractor change order pricing.
  • Perform quantity take offs and secure material pricing for owner changes.
  • Update and distribute project punch/incomplete work lists.
  • Distribute weekly schedule objective goals.
  • Collect, assemble, and submit project close out documentation.
  • Notify architect/owner/project manager on time sensitive/overdue items.
  • Other tasks as necessary or assigned.

  • Time and financial management.

Your success story:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • Computer Skills; proficiency in MS office, required. Timberline and Estimating software experience, preferred.
