As a Time Building Pilot, your primary responsibility is to accumulate flight hours by conducting solo or dual flights in accordance with FAA regulations and employer guidelines. You may be tasked with flying cross-country, practicing different maneuvers, or partnering with other pilots to share costs and experience. The role demands meticulous logbook documentation, adherence to safety protocols, and sometimes assisting with basic aircraft upkeep between flights. Collaboration with flight schools, instructors, or other time-building pilots is common, and flexibility in scheduling is often required to make the most of available flying opportunities.
A Time Building Pilot job is a position designed for pilots who need to accumulate flight hours to meet experience requirements for higher certifications or airline jobs.
