Job description

We are seeking a Mid-Level SAP ABAP Engineer to support and enhance our SAP ECC landscape. This role will focus on development and support across core SAP modules, including Sales and Distribution (SD), Warehouse Management (WM), and Materials Management (MM). The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
This is a remote position requiring availability during Central Time Zone business hours (30-40 hours per week), with the ability to travel to our Dallas, Texas office twice annually. Local Dallas-area candidates are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and support ABAP solutions within the SAP ECC environment.
  • Build and enhance custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEF objects).
  • Develop and maintain Smart Forms and SAPscript outputs.
  • Provide technical support and enhancements for SAP SD, WM, and MM modules.
  • Collaborate with functional analysts and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews, performance optimization, and technical documentation.
  • Support integrations and interface development, including RESTful APIs and OData services (where applicable).

Required Qualifications
  • 3-6+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
  • Strong experience working in SAP ECC (experience with S/4HANA is a plus but not required).
  • Proven experience supporting and developing solutions within:
    • Sales and Distribution (SD)
    • Warehouse Management (WM)
    • Materials Management (MM)
  • Experience developing and maintaining Smart Forms and SAPscript.
  • Solid understanding of RICEF development objects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work 30-40 hours per week during Central Time Zone business hours.
  • Willingness to travel to Dallas, TX twice per year.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with S/4HANA.
  • Experience building or consuming RESTful APIs and OData services.
  • Experience with SAP integrations and middleware technologies.
  • Candidates local to Dallas, Texas preferred.

Work Environment
