Job description

Position Overview
Responsible for driving sales and growth of ATS timber products, with a primary focus on large timber projects and utility pole sales. This role requires a motivated, results-driven professional who can develop new business, grow existing accounts, and maximize profitability within their market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent ATS in a professional and ethical manner at all times
  • Develop and grow relationships with national and regional contractor accounts
  • Prospect and secure new business through both in-house and field sales efforts
  • Conduct a high volume of outbound sales calls (approximately 30+ per day)
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts to increase sales volume
  • Promote and sell ATS product lines, including:
    • Dimensional Lumber
    • Timbers
    • Pilings
    • Utility Poles
  • Prepare accurate material takeoffs, project costing, and customer quotes
  • Monitor market conditions and adjust sales strategies accordingly
  • Maximize profit margins while supporting inventory management objectives
  • Maintain detailed records of all sales activities in HubSpot CRM
  • Coordinate closely with Sales Assistant and internal teams
  • Travel as needed to maintain customer relationships and attend industry events/trade shows (including occasional weekends)
  • Provide excellent customer service through consistent communication and follow-up
  • Assist with marketing initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of direct salesย experience (required)
  • Proven experience in building materials or timber product sales
  • Strong understanding of contractor sales and project-based selling
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with large-scale timber projects or utility pole sales
  • Established relationships within the contractor or construction industry
  • Experience managing multi-state or national accounts

Work Environment & Schedule
  • Based in Norwalk, Ohio
  • In-office work with minimal travel as needed
  • Standard schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, 8:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM (flexibility required to meet business demands)
  • Occasional physical activity related to trade shows, displays, or product samples
