Job description

Carpenters Local 706 is seeking a full-time Commercial Flooring Installer to work on commercial construction projects throughout Saginaw County and surrounding areas. We are looking for a dependable, hard-working individual with flooring experience or someone willing to learn the trade through hands-on, on-the-job training.

The successful candidate will assist with the installation of commercial flooring products including luxury vinyl tile (LVT), vinyl composition tile (VCT), sheet vinyl, rubber flooring, carpet tile, and ceramic tile. Duties include measuring and preparing floor surfaces, material handling, layout work, adhesive application, cutting and fitting flooring materials, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Applicants should possess a strong work ethic, be dependable, able to work as part of a team, and be capable of performing physical labor including lifting, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods. Reliable transportation to job sites is preferred.
