Job description

Build Relationships. Grow Your Business. Earn More.

Are you a competitive, motivated salesperson who loves building relationships, closing business and seeing your results reflected in your earnings?

Ciot is looking for a sales-driven Showroom Sales Representative to join our Troy showroom team.

This is a sales position — not an interior design position.

You'll work in a high-end showroom surrounded by luxury tile, natural stone and slabs while developing relationships with homeowners, interior designers, builders, contractors and other industry professionals.

We're looking for someone who doesn't simply wait for the next customer to walk through the door. We want someone with the initiative and hunger to build a client base, pursue opportunities, follow up relentlessly and grow sales.

What You'll Do

  • Drive sales and work toward exceeding individual sales goals
  • Build and grow your own book of business
  • Develop relationships with designers, builders, contractors and homeowners
  • Prospect for new accounts and identify new sales opportunities
  • Consistently follow up on leads, quotes, samples and active projects
  • Convert showroom traffic and inquiries into sales
  • Guide clients through tile, stone and slab selections
  • Identify opportunities to expand projects and increase sales
  • Develop repeat and referral business through strong client relationships
  • Maintain strong product and competitive knowledge
  • Take ownership of your pipeline, follow-up and results
  • Deliver the level of service expected in a luxury showroom environment

  • Who We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you are:

    • Sales-driven and motivated by earning potential
    • Competitive and goal-oriented
    • Naturally proactive — you don't wait to be told what to do
    • Confident prospecting and developing new business
    • Strong at building and maintaining relationships
    • Persistent with follow-up
    • Comfortable asking for and closing the sale
    • Organized and accountable
    • Professional and personable
    • Coachable and eager to learn
    • Comfortable working with both consumers and trade professionals

2+ years of sales experience preferred.

Experience in luxury retail, furniture, appliances, flooring, kitchen & bath, building materials, automotive, real estate, outside sales or other relationship-based sales environments is a plus.

Tile or design experience is NOT required. We can teach product. We're looking for sales ability, initiative and drive.

    What We Offer

    • Base salary + commission/bonus opportunity
    • Ability to increase your earnings through your sales performance
    • Established showroom traffic combined with opportunities to develop your own accounts
    • Extensive product and industry training
    • Access to an exceptional collection of luxury and exclusive products
    • Professional growth and development
    • Comprehensive benefits package

Ciot is one of North America's largest importers and distributors of tile, natural stone and engineered surfaces, serving both residential and commercial markets.
