Job description

Sales Consultant

Company: Cumar
Location: Everett, MA
Work Type: Full-time, in-person showroom sales role
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with optional evening networking events
Compensation: Base salary plus commission. Candidates should expect to earn at least $85,000/year, with upside based on performance.
Commission: Paid as a straight percentage of revenue, not margin-based

Build a sales career in luxury stone, high-end residential design, and client-focused project sales.

Cumar is hiring a Sales Consultant to guide homeowners, designers, builders, and other clients through the selection of premium stone for high-end residential projects. This is a consultative, relationship-driven sales role in a luxury showroom environment where the details matter and the client experience matters.

You will work with clients who are making important design decisions for custom homes, renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, and other high-end spaces. Many clients already have a designer, architect, or builder involved, and they are looking for someone who can guide them with confidence, taste, and professionalism.

This is not a cold-calling role. You will work with warm inbound leads, referrals, and scheduled showroom appointments. The opportunity is in how well you manage the client experience, ask the right questions, follow up consistently, and help each opportunity move from interest to sold.

Why This Opportunity?
  • High-End Consultative Sales: Work with premium marble, natural stone, and luxury residential projects.
  • Warm Appointment Flow: Expect 5 to 20 scheduled appointments per week, driven by inbound demand and referrals.
  • Strong Earning Potential: Candidates should expect at least $85,000/year in total compensation, with upside based on performance.
  • Revenue-Based Commission: Commission is paid as a straight percentage of revenue, not margin.
  • Deep Product Exposure: Walk the showroom, slab yard, and fabrication floor daily so you can learn the product and process in detail.
  • Relationship-Driven Sales Cycle: Build trust with homeowners, designers, builders, and referral partners over multiple touchpoints.
  • Execution Support After the Sale: Once the project is sold, it is handed off to a dedicated Project Manager for fulfillment.
What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Sales Consultant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting with homeowners, designers, builders, and other clients for scheduled showroom appointments.
  • Guiding clients through stone selection in the showroom and slab yard.
  • Helping clients understand material options, design considerations, pricing, availability, and next steps.
  • Building quotes, managing revisions, and keeping opportunities organized throughout the sales process.
  • Following up consistently and professionally so qualified opportunities do not stall.
  • Asking thoughtful questions to understand each client’s project, timeline, decision process, budget, and key stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate notes, pipeline updates, and follow-up tasks.
  • Coordinating a clean handoff to the Project Management team once the sale is secured.
  • Learning the fabrication process so you can speak confidently about what is possible, what to watch for, and how projects move through production.
  • Participating in local networking opportunities to build referral relationships with designers, builders, architects, and trade partners.
What You Bring:
  • Consultative Sales Experience: 2 to 5 years of inside sales, showroom sales, design sales, or other client-facing sales experience.
  • Luxury Client Presence: Polished communication and confidence working with high-end homeowners, designers, and builders.
  • Strong Follow-Through: Ability to manage a multi-touch pipeline where timing, details, and next steps matter.
  • Attention to Detail: Comfort working with quotes, revisions, project notes, and handoff documentation.
  • Relationship Mindset: Ability to build trust with clients and referral partners over time.
  • Showroom Comfort: Interest in working in a structured, in-person showroom environment.
  • Project Awareness: Ability to read plans, do takeoffs, or measure is a major advantage. If you do not already have this experience, it is something you can learn.
  • Industry Experience: Stone, tile, cabinetry, kitchen and bath, interior design, construction, or luxury home product sales experience is a plus.
This Role Could Be a Great Fit If You:
  • Enjoy high-ticket sales where the client experience matters.
  • Prefer warm appointments and referrals over cold calling.
  • Are comfortable guiding clients through a thoughtful decision process.
  • Like premium materials, design details, and custom residential projects.
  • Can follow up professionally without being pushy.
  • Want to sell in an environment where product knowledge and professionalism make a real difference.
Compensation:
  • Base salary plus commission.
  • Candidates should expect at least $85,000/year in total compensation, with upside based on performance.
  • Commission is paid as a straight percentage of revenue.
  • Full-time, in-person role in Everett, MA.
Schedule and Work Setup:
  • Full-time position.
  • Monday to Friday schedule.
  • In-person showroom role based in Everett, MA.
  • Minimal job site time.
  • Optional evening networking events may be available.
How to Apply:

Apply with your resume. If you have experience selling high-ticket projects, luxury products, design-related services, or multi-touch sales opportunities, include a short note with one example of how you managed a client relationship from first conversation to closed sale.

If you can read plans, do takeoffs, measure, or have experience in stone, tile, kitchen and bath, cabinetry, interior design, or construction, call that out clearly.

Ready to sell premium stone in a high-touch showroom environment where client experience, follow-through, and product knowledge matter? Apply today to start the conversation.
