Overview:

The Selections Coordinator has the responsibility to manage a range of functions necessary to obtain and successfully execute reconstruction projects, working closely with residential and commercial owners after a loss that has caused damage to their property. Selection Coordinators are responsible for identifying all selections needed from the estimated project scope, contacting the customer during the pending estimate approval phase to schedule a pre-construction meeting, assisting customers with material selections, assisting project managers with scheduling material deliveries and purchasing, providing cabinet layouts and designs for projects, communicating with project managers and assisting on overall project needs as required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for providing selections on multiple projects at a time

  • Create a project schedule and timeline

  • Provide design and cabinet layouts for Project Managers and customers

  • Measure and approve room layouts; cabinets, flooring, paint, tile, carpets, etc

  • Assist with material orders, product research, and product costs

  • Select and schedule all vendors and material delivers

  • Coordinate purchase of materials necessary to complete the project to adhere to budgets based on RCR expectations

  • Properly project, record, and maintain all project costs on budget worksheets

  • Contact the customer during the pending estimate approval phase to schedule a pre-construction meeting

  • Communicate with the Project Managers regarding material or budget changes and/or revisions to estimated project scope

  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and filed appropriately

  • Attend Work in Progress (WIP) sessions as requested to discuss the status of all projects

  • Confirm all work performed complies with the plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements of the scope of work

  • Keep customers up to date on all material selections and project activities

  • Maintain positive customer relationships through consistent communication and managing customer expectations throughout the project

  • Educate customers on the selections process when questions arise

  • Perform walk-throughs with customers to understand their vision and what is available through insurance and/or out-of-pocket

  • All other duties or projects as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum HSD/GED required

  • 2020 Design Software a plus

  • Restoration/Construction experience preferred: but will train

  • Knowledge of the insurance industry a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

  • Expertise in design and measurement of interior spaces

  • Working Knowledge of various construction software programs

  • Career emphasis on learning and continuing education
