Onsite Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays when needed

The Associate Design Sales Consultant serves as the primary on-site representative of Ann Sacks within an emerging market, responsible for delivering a best-in-class client experience while independently managing daily operations and contributing directly to sales performance. 
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role blends client engagement, sales execution, and operational ownership. The Associate Design Sales Consultant builds brand presence within the local market, supports existing client relationships, and develops new business opportunities. 
This position is designed as a developmental pathway into a Design Sales Consultant role, with increasing responsibility for revenue generation, client ownership, and business development over time.  A passion for design, architecture, and sales is essential. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to build a long-term career in design sales, starting with foundational responsibilities and progressing toward a sales career path.

Essential Functions

Client Engagement & Sales Execution

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all clients within the showroom and local market 
  • Guide and advise clients through product selection, design considerations, and purchasing decisions
  • Own and/or support the sales process which may include quoting, follow-up, and transaction completion
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and client data in Salesforce
  • Balance walk-in traffic, appointments, and proactive outreach

Business Development & Market Growth

  • Develop new and dormant client relationships through outreach and networking
  • Conduct offsite meetings and client visits to grow brand awareness
  • Build relationships with designers, architects, and trade professionals
  • Identify opportunities to grow market presence 

Showroom & Operational Ownership

  • Independently manage day-to-day operations onsite
  • Own merchandising, product presentation, and inventory readiness
  • Manage sample inventory including ordering and organization
  • Ensure operational readiness of supplies and materials

Marketing & Client Experience

  • Plan and execute client events and product launches 
  • Deliver a high-touch hospitality-driven experience
  • Follow-up on leads to drive engagement 

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with remote leadership and sales teams
  • Coordinate with customer service and operations
  • Provide insights on market activity and trends

Skills/Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience required. Strong preference given to experience in luxury brand sales and/or design-related/building environments.
  • Candidates with a variety of educational backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply.
  • Coursework in Interior Design or Business with a focus on Management or Marketing is preferred but not required.
  • Software: Must be comfortable with Windows operating systems and intermediate skills with MS Office. Experience with Salesforce or a CRM program is a bonus.
  • High levels of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to flex between a high volume of competing priorities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This role performs work primarily in a showroom environment. This includes regular movement throughout the space to meet with clients, view products, and engage in consultative selling work.
  • Work involves frequent movement, lifting of up to 20 lbs, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling and repetitive motion associated with computer work, transporting product samples, and unpacking/packing product samples.
  • Work is performed with prolonged periods of standing and also sitting at a desk with regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones and viewing screens, etc.
  •  Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
