Job description

Pariseault Builders, Inc. is seeking carpenters with trade skills to construct, install, and repair a variety of commercial and industrial structures and fixtures, while ensuring high level of quality and safety standards.

Duties include:
  • Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, steel, metal, concrete and other materials to specified measurements.
  • Construct building frameworks, including floor, wall, cabinets, beams, stairs and roof structures.
  • Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
  • Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and screws, nails, dowel pins or glue.
  • Install door, frame, and hardware, and fixtures such as windows, molding, and interior and exterior trim; inspect/replace damaged framework and finishes.
  • Layout, communicate material requirements, assist in maintaining asbuilts.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, machines and other equipment and materials required for construction and installation.
  • Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
  • Troubleshoot construction issues with project team.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety, following all safety policies, procedures and regulations, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Report hazards and safety violations immediately to the supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant zoning laws and building codes.
  • Ensure the job site area is clean and organized at all times, including cleaning, storing and maintaining applicable tools and equipment.
  • Complete assigned training and obtain relevant certifications as part of continual construction development and advancement into carpenter foreperson role.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to apprentices, junior carpenters and laborers working on various projects.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or a GED
  • 5+ years of construction/carpentry experience preferred.
  • OSHA 10.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Thorough knowledge of standard carpentry methods, equipment, materials, tools, and practices.
  • Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications.
  • Knowledge of all safety regulations for working in construction and with carpentry tools
