Position Summary

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth by promoting and specifying Florida Tile products to contractors, builders, dealers, architects, designers, and other industry professionals. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, identifying market opportunities, and serving as a trusted business consultant to customers within the assigned territory.

In addition to sales development, the Outside Sales Representative will manage merchandising efforts, provide technical product knowledge, monitor market trends, and support customers in achieving sales success and market growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, dealers, architects, designers, and other target customers

  • Meet and exceed monthly sales goals to support annual revenue objectives

  • Set up, maintain, and update product displays as needed

  • Successfully launch new products and company programs within the territory

  • Monitor competitor products, pricing, and strategies, and communicate market insights to branch leadership

  • Identify, prospect, qualify, and establish new customer accounts

  • Address and resolve product-related concerns in accordance with company guidelines

  • Utilize and maintain working knowledge of SAP systems

  • Coordinate with branch management to ensure adequate product sample inventory

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of direct sales experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred

  • Strong computer proficiency

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve goals with minimal supervision

  • Ability to analyze market conditions, forecast sales trends, and identify growth opportunities

  • Experience developing and executing annual business plans

  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout the assigned territory
