Crockett Construction is seeking an experienced Master Carpenter to join its field team. This is a senior-level carpentry role for someone who takes pride in exceptional craftsmanship, dependable work, and high standards. The Master Carpenter will perform and help oversee rough framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, trim, doors, windows, stairs, custom built-ins, and other detailed carpentry work across residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, lay out, and complete complex carpentry tasks, including rough framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, millwork, and custom details
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project documents
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and fasten wood and engineered materials using hand tools, power tools, and precision equipment
  • Install doors, windows, stairs, trim, moldings, flooring, and built-ins to exact tolerances
  • Perform framing, drywall-related work, tile-related support, and finish carpentry as needed for project completion
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to support project timelines and quality expectations
  • Inspect completed work, identify needed corrections, and make adjustments to meet company standards
  • Mentor and support junior carpenters or apprentices on technique, safety, and best practices
  • Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and job sites in a clean, safe, and organized manner
  • Follow OSHA safety standards, local building codes, and company policies

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of carpentry experience required; 10+ years preferred
  • Strong background in carpentry, especially framing and finish carpentry
  • Experience with high-end residential construction, remodels, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, custom homes, and outdoor living projects preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and project specifications
  • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work
  • Expert proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and own tools required
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work at heights when needed
  • OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or experience with JobTread/Buildertrend is a plus
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening, consistent with applicable law.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
