Voda Cleaning & Restoration of Chicago West is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to help lead our team and support the next phase of our growth
This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than a traditional management role. You will work directly with ownership, lead field technicians, oversee restoration and cleaning projects, improve processes, and help build a high-performing operation.
We are looking for a leader who takes ownership, solves problems, develops people, and is willing to lead from the front. This is not a desk-only position. The Operations Manager should be comfortable visiting job sites, communicating with customers, reviewing documentation, managing crews, and stepping into the field when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, schedule, coach, and develop field technicians
  • Oversee daily water restoration, mold remediation, carpet cleaning, and related service operations
  • Manage projects from initial inspection through completion
  • Conduct job-site inspections and quality-control checks
  • Ensure work meets company, IICRC, and safety standards
  • Assist field crews when additional leadership or support is needed
  • Communicate with homeowners, property managers, commercial customers, adjusters, and vendors
  • Ensure accurate job documentation, including photos, moisture readings, drying logs, equipment placement, and project notes
  • Train technicians on restoration procedures, cleaning techniques, equipment, safety, documentation, and customer service
  • Assist with estimating, job costing, project planning, and production management
  • Monitor job profitability, labor utilization, equipment usage, and customer satisfaction
  • Manage company vehicles, equipment, warehouse inventory, and supplies
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and developing technicians
  • Participate in an after-hours/on-call rotation for emergency restoration work
  • Work directly with ownership to achieve operational, revenue, and profitability goals

Qualifications
  • Experience in restoration, cleaning, construction, home services, or field operations
  • Previous experience leading technicians, crews, or projects preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
