Job description

SUMMARY: To supervise the housekeeping shift and maintain cleanliness in the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for all shift functions including scheduling and personnel assignments.
  2. Understanding and following proper procedure for radio usage.
  3. Cleaning of facility including dusting, pick up, dumping ash trays, vacuuming, dumping garbage and cleaning windows.
  4. Heavier cleaning to include extraction, cleaning high windows, tile floor care and ceramic floor care.
  5. Independently cleaning assigned areas.
  6. Observing and identifying spots, stains or spills and cleaning them in an efficient manner.
  7. Communicating with Facilities Manager regarding employee issues or directives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct supervision of housekeeping staff on that particular shift.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
