Job description

Job Summary

Foss & Company is seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter to join our growing team. We are looking for a dependable individual with at least 3 years of construction experience who can perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, finish work, drywall, tile installation, painting, decking, and window installation.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works well independently, and enjoys being part of a professional team. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, understands residential construction practices, and is comfortable reading and interpreting blueprints and project plans.

Please Note: This position does not involve roofing work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform framing and finish carpentry work.
  • Install and repair drywall.
  • Complete tile installation projects.
  • Perform interior and exterior painting tasks.
  • Build and install decks and other exterior carpentry projects.
  • Install and replace windows, doors, trim, cabinetry, flooring, and other finish components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of finish carpentry and framing experience necessary.
  • Tiling skills are preferred.
  • Experience in drywall, painting, and reading blueprints is a bonus.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
