Job description

We are looking for a dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician / Handyman to help maintain our commercial facility. If you enjoy solving problems, making repairs, and working independently, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general building maintenance and repairs
  • Complete painting, drywall, carpentry, and handyman projects
  • Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs
  • Assist with preventative maintenance, including HVAC filter changes
  • Repair doors, locks, fixtures, ceiling tiles, flooring, and trim
  • Maintain the grounds, parking areas, and exterior appearance
  • Coordinate with outside contractors when needed
  • Move furniture and assist with facility improvement projects
  • Operate a passenger shuttle van as needed (training provided)
  • Keep tools, equipment, and maintenance records organized
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Experience safely using hand and power tools
Preferred Experience
  • 3+ years of facilities, commercial building, apartment, hotel, hospital, or property maintenance
  • Experience with:
    • Painting and drywall repair
    • Basic carpentry
    • Plumbing repairs
    • Basic electrical work (lights, switches, outlets)
    • Door and hardware repairs
