Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is pivotal in supporting our US Warfighters and the AbilityOne program, contributing to ReadyOne Industries' mission. Learn all the work that is done in the buildings.Repair and maintain building such as dry wall and floor tile installation, plumbing, painting, electrical work, welding, carpentry, heating and cooling units, forklift maintenance and repair.  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop and implement strategies that ensure operational activities align with ReadyOne's cultural behaviors of accountability, diversity, honesty, collaboration, empathy, innovation, passion, and effective communication.
  2. Adhere to and execute company policies and procedures while driving continuous improvement across all operational processes.
  3. Responsible for inspection of building and production area.
  4. Troubleshoot and address any problems in production area and perform repairs inside or outside the building.
  5. Responsible for turning on/off heaters and AC-units and inspect building before end of shift.
  6. Special projects at other building or backlog from previous day.
  7. Assist groundskeepers and custodians as needed or requested.
  8. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
 

To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed on the job analysis are representative of the skill, and/or ability required. 


Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Experience: Three years industrial maintenance or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specific Skills: English proficiency required/ Spanish proficiency preferred. Effective oral and written skills. Electrical, welding, and plumbing skills.     

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Driver’s and Forklift Operator license.

Other Skills and Abilities: Effective oral and written communication skills required. 

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, withstand physical exertion, and variable temperatures. The position requires standing regularly, using fingers to feel and handle, use arms to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl, plus abilities needed for close vision, distant vision and depth perception. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment: Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. May be exposed to loud manufacturing work environment.
