Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs for the facility, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all attractions and equipment. This role involves routine inspections, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and adherence to safety standards to maintain a high-quality Guest experience. 

 All applicants must be 18 years old or older.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Maintenance & Repairs: 

  • Perform routine inspections to ensure all equipment and attractions are in safe working condition. 
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on various equipment, including attractions. 
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely, efficient, and safe repairs. 
  • Remove and/or replace worn or defective parts using hand and power tools. 

Safety & Compliance: 

  • Work safely in accordance with OSHA Standards and company policies. 
  • Document all inspections, corrective actions, and repairs in designated logbooks. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols while working at heights, in confined spaces, and around mechanical equipment. 

Operational Support: 

  • Respond to maintenance service calls and attraction shutdowns promptly. 
  • Assist in the erection, repair, and troubleshooting of various attractions. 
  • Work independently and manage time efficiently without direct supervision. 

General Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with other departments to support park operations. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to maintain park facilities. 

Qualifications: 

  • Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid state driver’s license. 
  • Minimum two years of experience in mechanical/industrial maintenance or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 
  • Experience with door repairs, tile installation, drywall installation, and painting is a plus. 
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend maintenance manuals, safety regulations, and technical instructions. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus. 

Education and Experience: 

Required: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 

Work Environment/Physical Demands: 

This role requires the ability to see, hear, and communicate clearly, as well as full dexterity and agility to maneuver in tight spaces. It involves standing and walking for long periods, bending, squatting, gripping small objects, and pushing or pulling heavy items. The work environment includes high noise levels and may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions. The position requires availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
