Summary

The Sales Support Associate is responsible for generating bids using material cost sheets, scopes of work, and market strategies. This role works collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing, consistent documentation, and effective execution of the company's sales growth strategy. The Sales Support Associate plays a key role in maintaining product programs, preparing bids, and supporting sales operations for flooring, countertops, wall tile, and window coverings while serving as a resource for sales teams and supporting ongoing process improvement and training initiatives.

Essential Functions

Bid & Pricing Support

  • Generate bids using material cost sheets, scopes of work, and market strategies.

  • Create custom quotes for models, residential construction, non-standard options, and special projects.

  • Perform cost and margin analysis for product categories.

  • Compile standard and optional upgrade collateral per builder specifications.

Program & Product Management

  • Maintain client programs for Flooring, Countertops, Window Coverings, and Wall Tile.

  • Develop and maintain wall tile designs in accordance with client requirements.

  • Maintain Client SharePoint portals and product inventory for assigned accounts.

  • Configure proprietary design tools to quote customers in the design center.

Systems & Documentation

  • Create community kickoff documentation, ZBIDs, and floor plans in SAP.

  • Create and maintain all related support documents for assigned product categories.

  • Build and maintain digital forms for Design Studio Associates and clients.

  • Utilize analytical, word processing, architectural, PDF, and publishing software for daily operations.

Collaboration & Customer Support

  • Build strong working relationships with Account Managers and client contacts.

  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, assisting peers during peak workload periods.

  • Participate in customer-facing interactions as required.

Training & Subject Matter Expertise

  • Assist with the training and onboarding of new team members.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in Sales Support processes and systems.

  • Develop and deliver training programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new and existing staff.

  • Mentor team members, supporting skill development and process consistency.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

Required

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum 1-3 years of applicable job experience preferred.

Preferred

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Residential construction industry experience preferred.

  • Experience with SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products) for material resource planning and production control.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships with builders, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with customers and colleagues.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage tracking systems and maintain accurate records.
