Position Summary

For over 30 years, Stone Tile International has been redefining luxury spaces across North America. As the leading fashion house of natural and manufactured tile, stone, and wood, we partner with architects, designers, and discerning homeowners to bring extraordinary spaces to life. With 160+ employees and flagship showrooms in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary, we are known for innovation, craftsmanship, and uncompromising quality.

The Gallery Manager, Business Development & Client Relations leads the Stone Tile Gallery Toronto as a revenue-generating hub for the business. This role owns the gallery’s growth agenda — driving sales performance, deepening client relationships, and building Stone Tile’s reputation within the design and construction community as the destination for premium stone, tile, and wood flooring. The ideal candidate is equal parts relationship-builder, sales leader, and operator: someone energized by prospecting and business development, who connects naturally with designers, architects, contractors, and A&D (Architecture & Design) firms, and who knows how to turn client trust into consistent, referral-driven revenue.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue Generation & Business Development

• Own the gallery’s revenue targets — driving team sales performance and personally cultivating high-value, relationship-driven opportunities.

• Proactively build and expand a network of designers, architects, contractors, builders, and A&D firms, converting relationships into consistent project pipeline and repeat business.

• Identify and pursue new business through targeted outreach, prospecting, and local trade engagement — treating relationship-building as a core revenue driver, not an occasional activity.

• Develop and execute an outreach strategy that positions the gallery as the preferred flooring and surface partner for design and construction professionals in the market.

• Track pipeline, conversion, and account growth using CRM tools, and report on business development progress to leadership.

2. Client Experience & Relationship Leadership

• Lead by example on the gallery floor, delivering an elevated, consultative client experience that reflects Stone Tile’s reputation for premium stone, tile, and wood products.

• Coach the team in consultative selling, design support, and technical product education to maximize the revenue potential of every client interaction.

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, designers, architects, and contractors to drive loyalty, referrals, and repeat business.

• Champion digital tools, including virtual consultations, so clients can engage with the gallery confidently from anywhere.

• Curate and host gallery events and educational sessions with the events, marketing, and sales teams to strengthen the gallery’s presence and credibility within the design and building community.

3. Team Leadership

• Recruit, train, coach, and develop gallery staff, instilling a business-development mindset and high standards for client engagement.

• Schedule and manage daily staffing to ensure strong coverage and a consistently excellent client experience.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and coach the team on outreach techniques, lead follow-up, and client relationship management.

• Foster an inclusive, motivated, high-performing culture centered on growth and accountability.

4. Operational Excellence

• Oversee gallery presentation, merchandising, and cleanliness standards to reflect Stone Tile’s brand.

• Ensure inventory, samples, and displays are current, well-maintained, and on-brand.

• Support and refine processes that deliver a best-in-class gallery and customer experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 7-10 years of leadership experience in retail, showroom, gallery, or related environments, ideally in luxury, design, or building materials.

• Established network and strong relationships with designers, architects, contractors, and A&D firms — with a demonstrated ability to convert relationships into revenue.

• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales/revenue targets while leading high-performing teams.

• Strong knowledge of stone, tile, wood, or similar flooring and surface products is an asset.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage designers, architects, contractors, builders, and homeowners alike.

• Entrepreneurial, outreach-driven mindset — comfortable prospecting and generating new business, not just managing walk-in traffic.

• Operationally strong, with attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable with CRM, order entry, and inventory management systems.
