Job Overview
The Masonry Team Member plays a key role in the installation of high-quality outdoor living features, including walkways, patios, outdoor kitchens, firepits, and other masonry and hardscape elements. This position is hands-on and involves all phases of masonry construction-from site preparation and base compaction to stone layout, setting, and finishing. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works well as part of a team, and is comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist with and perform installation of masonry and small hardscape features such as walkways, patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, and firepits
  • Assist with site layout and preparation prior to installation
  • Complete excavation and base installation per project specifications
  • Grade and compact sub-base materials to ensure proper drainage and long-term stability
  • Prepare and mix mortar/mud to the proper consistency for masonry installations
  • Lay out stone, brick, and veneer materials according to design plans
  • Install materials using both wet-set and dry-set methods
  • Cut materials using tile cutters and masonry saws, as needed
  • Perform grouting, jointing, sealing, and finish work to company quality standards
  • Safely operate and maintain hand tools, masonry saws, tile cutters, mixers, and measuring tools
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment on a daily basis, as needed
  • Assist with job site setup, organization, and cleanup at the beginning and end of each day
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures while working on job sites
  • Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with team leader to complete projects on schedule and to quality standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
  • Previous masonry, hardscape, construction, or landscaping experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience with mortar/mud mixing and wet-set applications preferred, but not required
  • Small equipment experience (plate compactors, skid steers, etc.) is helpful, but not required
  • Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work long days as project schedules require
  • Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions, including heat and humidity
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and work on uneven surfaces and terrain
