Job description

SUMMARY: Responsible for the selling, promoting, and specifying of Panariagroup USA, Panariagroup products including Florida Tile, Panaria USA, LEA, Love, Margres, Gresart, Panaria Italy, and Bellissimo products to Architects, Interior Designers, Specifiers, Flooring Contractors, and National Accounts. Also responsible for all sales, merchandising, technical information, customer product knowledge, and evaluating the area’s market needs and business conditions in their territory. Act with a solution-driven mindset to meet and exceed customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Exceed sales and sales mix budgets while maintaining average discount/margin within agreed parameters.
  • Target, call on, and develop relationships through effective time management with Architects, Interior Designers, Specifiers, Flooring Contractors, National Accounts, and other channels. The primary goal is to specify our products in their projects and follow up throughout the various steps of the construction process to ensure the specification is maintained until the order is placed and the project is installed and completed.
  • Prospect, qualify, and establish new customers while maintaining existing customers.
  • Schedule regular product knowledge seminars with architectural and design firms using the proper tools to clarify information.
  • Respond to the marketplace by providing value through being a knowledgeable rep with quick follow-up.
  • Assess competitors, their product lines, and strategies and keep the Manager informed.
  • Evaluate product field complaints and resolve them following company guidelines.
  • Participate in industry associations and activities, i.e. ASID, IIDA, and NEWH.
  • Work with the Branch team through the sales process.
  • Utilize software to document project specifications and all sales-related activities.
  • Record appointments and visits, inventory, and specification info.
  • Develop and execute presentations/CEUs.
  • Travel throughout the assigned region to call on regular and prospective customers.
  • Identify and establish relationships with top architectural and design firms.
  • Maintain architectural libraries clean and well-organized, replacing outdated sample tools and placing new products as they are available.
  • Emphasize new product promotion during sales calls.
  • Document projects, fill out and update registrations, and send quotes to the Manager.
  • Complete and submit 30-60-90 reports monthly.
  • Provide follow-up on lead services and document progress.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • At least three years of commercial sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Business, or Marketing preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM, and SAP
  • Ability to achieve company goals with little supervision while still being a team player
  • Overall analysis of the total and individual markets in order to set goals, plan and execute market research, forecasting sales and establishing new markets
  • Development, planning and the execution of yearly business plan
  • Outgoing, high-energy, friendly personality with ability to shift gears and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Frequent travel is required
