THE TEAM

We are seeking candidates to join our Personalization team. This team is responsible for developing recommendation system that improve experience for millions of fans daily by helping them to navigate through thousands of artists playing in the area. We improve ticket purchase experience for hundreds of millions of live event fans by using real time streaming combined with various AWS technologies. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
  • Work with Data Scientists and Engineers to introduce new features, new models, and new techniques to improve the Live Nation and Ticketmaster recommendation platform
  • Write clean, well-designed, testable, and efficient code
  • Contribute to all phases of the application development life cycle
  • Build out and support all the necessary infrastructure in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
  • Maintain and evolve existing real-time processing systems
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs as well as propose solutions to identified problems
  • Ensure overall system health through automated testing and monitoring
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to provide efficient automated processes
  • Integrate with 3rd-party applications and vendors
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternative approaches to existing solutions
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
  • Mid-level engineer with strong knowledge of Python 5+ years of experience developing software using Java/Python or similar high-level language
  • Experience in development of highly available and reliable distributed systems
  • Familiarity with AWS stack (EC2, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lambda)
  • Experience working with containerized applications
  • Experience with Kafka and Kafka Streams
  • Data Engineering skills (ETL)
  • PySpark and PyTorch or similar a bonus
  • Effective visual and verbal communication skills
