Job description

Job Summary:

As an usher or ticket taker, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of all guests. You are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the venue while engaging with attendees to address their needs before, during, and after the event. Your attention to detail and customer service skills contribute to creating a positive experience for all patrons.

Job Functions:

v Greet guests, scan guest tickets upon entry to the venue, answer guest questions, assist guests with locating their seats and examines tickets for entry to various seat levels around the venue during the event.

v Assist with keeping the venue safe, clean and presentable to the guest.

v Resolve guest complaints or problems.

v Examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity.

v Provide assistance to with guests with special needs, such as helping with seat accommodations.

vParticipate in venue recycling efforts before, during and after the show.

v Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency.

v May assist in verifying staff credentials to generally restricted areas.

v Assist patrons by giving directions places inside or outside the venue.

v Ensure guests are safely enjoying the show.

v Partner with fellow crew members at the end of show to close the venue- this may include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricade, Etc.

v Additional tasks as requested by management.

This position starts at $16.00 per hour

Qualifications:

v High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

v Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

v Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.

v A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.

v Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs and occasional sitting, lifting and carrying 50 lbs.+
