Job description

Interested in supporting a dynamic Human Resources Department? Belmark is currently seeking an energetic and motivated Human Resources Assistant personnel to oversee the Human Resources Entrance and is responsible for administrative and onboarding tasks within the Human Resources department. With a variety of responsibilities and opportunities to jump in wherever needed, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys being the go-to person and making a meaningful impact.

Schedule:
  • 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday

What will I do in this role?
  • Greet candidates, new hires and visitors at the Human Resources Entrance. Follow all SQF requirements and security procedures for building and employee security.
  • Responsible for general filing and keeping the HR vault and closet organized.
  • Issue and maintain building access badges for vendors and employees.
  • Responsible for maintaining employee developmental training calendars. Enter new hires into training sessions and prepare necessary paperwork. May be required to set up for training sessions.
  • Prepare orientation materials for Human Resources orientations and conduct new hire orientations.
  • Assist with managing Belmark clothing program, which includes but is not limited to; updating accounts, ordering company products, etc.
  • Plan and coordinate company food days and other company events.
  • Order cupcakes for retirements and special treats for all employee meetings.
  • Schedule and maintain office headshots.
  • Administer sporting event ticket program (Gambler Hockey, Phoenix Basketball, etc) and other applicable ticket and/or raffle distribution.
  • Provide administrative and technical assistance to the department. This includes but is not limited to: scanning, copying, assembling packets and files, maintaining HR printer.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires education as is acquired with high school graduation or equivalent. An Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of and ability to speak the English language fluently.
  • Must understand people and be able to communicate and answer questions in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Must be able to analyze many variables and choose the most effective course of action for the organization at any given point in time.
  • Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to resolve problem, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the position. May be required to work some overtime.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow implicit and explicit written and oral instructions.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Standing and walking required for up to 30% of work time.
  • Ability to: use hands for 100% of work time; and reach above shoulders for 15% of work time.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds or less 20% of work time.

Eligibility for internal transfers is based on completion of required trainings, overall performance, attendance record, qualifications, and tenure in your current position.
