As a Mosquito and Tick Technician, you will be part of a dynamic team that tackles new challenges and learning opportunities in the great outdoors every day. You'll play a key role in protecting homes and properties from ticks, mosquitoes, termites, and other exterior pests through effective pest management solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Perform exterior pest control treatments for mosquitoes, ticks, termites, and general pest prevention at residential properties.
  2. Identify pest habitats and risk areas to apply targeted treatments while following state regulations and company protocols.
  3. Inspect homes and properties for exterior pest activity, assess infestation levels, and recommend solutions.
  4. Safely apply pesticides and treatment solutions in accordance with label directions, state laws, and safety protocols.
  5. Maintain customer relationships by providing professional service, educating homeowners on prevention techniques, and answering any pest-related questions.
  6. Keep detailed records of all pest control activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  7. Manage and maintain equipment and vehicles used in daily operations to ensure they are fully functional and safe.
  8. Stay up to date on pest control methods and industry advancements to improve service effectiveness.
  9. Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic, as performance in this role will determine long-term opportunities with the company.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

3. Ability to obtain a state pesticide applicator's license (paid training and certification provided for non-licensed new hires).

4. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing physical labor, including extensive walking, lifting to 50 pounds, and carrying a backpack sprayer, for extended periods of time.

5. Ability to climb ladders when necessary for inspections or applications.

6. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict safety protocols.

7. Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

8. Ability to work independently while adhering to company procedures and best practices.

9. Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Evolve, Paylocity, and other mobile technology used for reporting and scheduling.

11. Strong team player with a commitment to promoting company values.

12. Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.

13. Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screening.


Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, and bending while performing exterior treatments.

  • Ability to carry and operate a 50-pound backpack sprayer for extended periods.
