Position Overview

The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all electrical construction activities on assigned projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards. This role provides leadership to field personnel, coordinates with project teams, and drives successful project execution from planning through turnover.

The TIC Power division operates as a key part of Kiewit Corporation, delivering expert construction services for power generation projects with a skilled non-union workforce. Specializing in cogeneration, combined-cycle, geothermal, and waste-to-energy facilities, TIC Power is recognized for its robust estimating capabilities and comprehensive project planning. Our team constructs major EPC power plant projects across North America, emphasizing quality construction practices and sustainable energy solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise electrical construction activities for large-scale power generation and industrial projects.
  • Direct craft supervision and coordinate daily work plans to achieve project milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, quality, and scheduling teams to support project execution.
  • Monitor productivity, manpower levels, equipment utilization, and construction progress.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and work packages to ensure construction activities align with project requirements.
  • Identify and resolve field issues while minimizing impacts to schedule and cost.
  • Support workforce development through coaching, mentoring, and training field personnel.
  • Participate in planning meetings, safety reviews, and project reporting activities.
  • Ensure quality standards are met and assist with turnover and commissioning activities.

Qualifications
  • Experience serving as an Electrical Superintendent, General Superintendent, or Senior Electrical Supervisor on industrial, power generation, energy, or EPC construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation, construction sequencing, and field execution.
  • Experience managing large craft workforces and multiple subcontractors.
  • Working knowledge of safety, quality, scheduling, and productivity management practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and electrical documentation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work at project locations as required.
