Job Summary:
Abacus Service Corporation is seeking a talented Applications Development Analyst to join the Florida Department of Transportation team in Tallahassee, FL. In this role, you will contribute to the Florida PALM Project, a major initiative to modernize the state's financial management systems.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Ensure the seamless transition to modern technology.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years as a lead developer.
• 5 years of experience with development technologies including Microsoft .NET (C#), ASP.NET/MVC, WCF/WebAPI, SQL Server, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Knockout, etc.), REST, XML, JSON, HTML, Python, and CSS.
• Experience with full lifecycle application development and troubleshooting.
Preferred:
• Experience converting legacy systems (DB2, COBOL, CA-GEN, FOCUS) to modern technology.
• Knowledge of Tibco Mainframe Focus/WebFocus.
• Familiarity with cloud-based application architecture leveraging PaaS and IaaS.
