Job description

Under the supervision of the Benefits Manager, the Retirement and Well-Being Coordinator has responsibility for administering and communicating Highland Hospital's Retirement and Well-Being Programs in accordance with government regulations, plan documents and Highland's policies and procedures. 
Benefits/Retirement 403(b) Plan Administration:
  • Administers daily operations of the 403(b) Plan including processing TIAA/recordkeeper action items, ensuring compliance with controlled group coordination rules, resolving uncashed distribution and annuity checks status.
  • Oversee audits of deferral elections between TIAA/recordkeeper system and payroll system to ensure accuracy of payroll deductions.
  • Assist Benefits Manager with IRS Self-Correction Program (SCP) and Voluntary Correction Program (VCP) to make plan error corrections, when required.
  • Reconcile retirement plan activity with payroll and recordkeeping systems.
 
  • May participate in retirement benefits surveys and benchmarking activities.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining thorough retirement and well-being procedures.
  • Maintain hard copy and electronic retirement and well-being records in a well-organized, intuitive and retrievable manner.
  • May assist in preparing employee communications.

Wellness Administration:
  • Coordinate and oversee wellness programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being to include creating and maintaining an annual robust wellness calendar.
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate health education workshops, wellness events, and fitness activities.
  • Maintain accurate participant records, program documentation, and confidential        health information.
  • Monitor program participation and evaluate outcomes to improve wellness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and internal departments to enhance wellness services.
  • Promote wellness programs through presentations, newsletters, social media, and other communication channels.
  • Assist with health screenings, wellness assessments, and biometric events.
  • Track program budgets, inventory, and wellness-related supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety regulations, and confidentiality standards.
  • Collect and analyze wellness program data to prepare reports and measure effectiveness.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages employee or participant engagement.
  • Stay informed on current health and wellness trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to participant questions and concerns while providing excellent customer service.
  • Build partnerships with vendors and community resources to expand wellness opportunities.
  • Assist in developing annual wellness goals, strategies, and initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Encourage participation by implementing incentive programs and wellness challenges.
  • Attend monthly committee meetings and share updates with the members
Salary Range:
$21.30 - $28.49 an hour 
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
