Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique trauma history and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Create and implement tailored treatment strategies focused on fostering recovery and resilience, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Utilize well-established interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to deliver effective therapy.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their experiences, cultivate coping strategies, and encourage healing.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and various professionals to ensure holistic and integrated patient care, contributing to comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency support during trauma-related situations, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping techniques, and resources available to support their journey toward recovery.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accuracy in patient records.
  • Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, sharing insights and strategies focused on trauma-informed care.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance the level of care provided.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals suffering from various forms of trauma, including but not limited to, PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work with a diverse patient demographic, including adults from different backgrounds, many of whom require specialized care and understanding of their individual experiences. The goal is to support each client’s healing journey while promoting overall mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California, reflecting your professional credentials.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, demonstrating capability in providing mental health therapy.
  • Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, particularly those focused on trauma.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, instilling trust in patients through a compassionate approach.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, particularly in crisis situations.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a general proficiency in using relevant computer applications.
  • Commitment to working as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating to optimize patient care.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and a solid understanding of resilience-building will be strongly considered. Familiarity with remote therapy platforms is also an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
