Production Associate – Thrift

Crofton Retail Store

Full Time $16.00/hour


Want a dependable, active role that makes a real difference locally? Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake is seeking a Production Associate to support the sorting, preparation, and processing of donated clothing and textiles for our retail locations.

This position offers consistent work in a fast-moving environment and is well suited for individuals who like staying busy, collaborating with others, and contributing to visible results each day.


What You’ll Do

  • Sort, tag, price, and hang donated clothing and textiles
  • Prepare items for placement on the sales floor
  • Use a point-of-sale (POS) system to apply pricing
  • Meet daily production goals in a team-oriented environment
  • Maintain a clean, organized production and sales area
  • Provide friendly assistance to customers when needed
  • Support Goodwill’s mission and community impact

Production Expectations

  • 550 units/day for standard sorting, tagging, and hanging
  • 750 units/day when working with pre-sorted clothing
  • Or meet team-based goals set by leadership

Schedule & Availability

  • Full time schedule
  • Weekend availability (Saturday & Sunday) is required
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and holidays
  • Reliable transportation is needed for all scheduled shifts

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience in retail, warehouse, production, or customer service a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused
