Volunteer Description:

Unpaid volunteer contributing time to Intermountain Healthcare.

The Information Desk Volunteer serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff. Volunteers provide a warm welcome, accurate directions, and helpful information to ensure a positive experience at the hospital. Our current openings are Wednesday's 12pm-3pm, Thursday's 12pm-3pm, and Friday's 9am-12pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner

  • Provide directions and escort guests to destinations as needed

  • Answer general questions about hospital services, locations, and procedures

  • Offer wheelchair assistance when needed

  • Collaborate with hospital staff to meet visitor and patient needs

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming desk area

Qualifications:

  • Friendly, approachable, and patient-focused

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable working in a busy environment

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

  • Dependable and punctual
