Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is seeking a Roll Thread Operator to join our team! You will be responsible for set up and operation of roll thread machine and auxiliary equipment to produce high quality fasteners while meeting on-time delivery, productivity, safety, quality, and housekeeping metrics. This role requires precision and attention to detail to ensure that the threads meet quality standards and product specifications. We will train if you are able to pass a measurement assessment screening.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and set up the roll threading machine, which may involve installing the appropriate thread rolls, adjusting machine settings, and securing the workpiece in the machine.
  • Operate the roll threading machine to create threads on workpieces, following established procedures and guidelines. Ensure that threads are accurately cut to the specified dimensions and pitch.
  • Continuously monitor the threading process to ensure the quality and accuracy of the threads. Inspect the workpiece for defects and make necessary adjustments to the machine settings if deviations are identified.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the roll threading machine, including cleaning, lubricating, and making minor repairs as needed to keep the equipment in optimal working condition.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safety procedures. Report safety hazards to supervisors or other managers immediately.
  • Work efficiently to meet production targets and minimize waste. Optimize machine operation to ensure the timely completion of orders.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records.
  • Must have strong measurement skills including tape measures, micrometers and dial indicators.
  • Clean equipment and keep work area neat and orderly.
  • Participate as a Trainer when necessary.
  • Work in any other area of the plant by the request of your supervisor and/or manager.

Decision/Information Sharing and Communication
  • Must take initiative and be available to work where needed.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow visual, written, and oral instructions.
  • Must communicate and work well with all other employees in the facility.

Physical requirements:
  • This position typically requires that the employee lift heavy boxes, products, or other items, up to or more than 50 lbs.
  • This position will require that the employee stand for virtually their entire shift (8 or more hours) in a noisy environment.

All positions require passing a mandatory pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and background check.
