Job description

OsteoCentric SI Fusion is seeking an Area Sales Director to lead our West Coast distribution network and drive the regional growth of UnifiMI technology. This is a leadership role for someone who has built credibility in the spine and SI fusion space, someone who can walk into an OR, earn the trust of a surgeon, and then turn around and coach a distributor on how to do the same.

You’ll inherit an established regional presence with meaningful room to grow. If you’ve led distributors or sales teams in spine or SI fusion, have deep clinical knowledge of SI joint procedures, and know how to develop people as well as accounts, we want to talk.

The Opportunity

The SI fusion market is growing, and OsteoCentric’s UnifiMI technology gives surgeons a genuinely differentiated option. With patented minimally invasive bone preparation technology and next-generation thread geometries, UnifiMI is built to improve patient outcomes, and that’s a story that resonates in the OR.

As Area Sales Director for the West Coast, you’ll have full ownership of regional performance: managing your distribution partners, deepening relationships with key accounts and KOLs, and identifying the growth opportunities that will move the needle. You’ll have direct visibility to senior leadership and a meaningful voice in how the region develops strategically.

What You’ll Own

  • Lead, coach, and motivate distribution partners to achieve individual and regional performance goals, setting clear expectations, developing talent, and holding your network accountable to results.
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans for the West Coast, with clear milestones tied to revenue objectives.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key accounts, core customers, and medical opinion leaders. Convert customers into champion users through clinical education and consistent engagement.
  • Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation through closing and post-sale support.
  • Achieve sales and operational objectives through the promotion and adoption of UnifiMI technology.
  • Train distributors and customers on the proper clinical use of company products through in-services and presentations.
  • Monitor sales performance, maintain operational reporting, and provide regular business updates to leadership.
  • Manage Area budgets and optimize travel, resource allocation, and expenses.
  • Gather market intelligence on industry trends, competitive products, and customer needs to support strategic decision-making.
  • Represent OsteoCentric SI Fusion at industry conferences, meetings, and educational events.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and hospital credentialing requirements.
  • Respond to customer concerns promptly and in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education and industry engagement.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of outside sales experience within the SI fusion, spine, or orthopedic medical device industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading distributors or sales teams, this is a people leadership role, not a solo contributor role.
  • Clinical selling experience in an operating room environment within spinal specialties.
  • Strong understanding of spinal anatomy, SI joint procedures, and related surgical terminology.
  • Knowledge of competitive products and market dynamics within the spine/SI fusion space.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in an established territory.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain hospital credentialing and access requirements across the West Coast market.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Must be based on the West Coast.
