Job description

The Specialty Mfg. Co. is large enough to produce standard products at scale, yet flexible enough to deliver superior quality, custom products at competitive prices. No day is the same here and everyday has new opportunities.
The Role: Responsible for end-to-end setup and precision machining on Multi-Spindle/Multi-Turret equipment. You will work in a clean, well-ventilated facility where efficiency and safety are paramount. Facility adheres to ISO certification.
Key Responsibilities

  • Blueprint & Process: Interpret complex prints to determine the most efficient manufacturing methods to produce parts to the engineered specification.
  • G&M Code: Navigate and understand lines of code required for part production.
  • Turret & Tooling: Set up appropriate tooling/holders within multiple turrets; "touch off" or indicate tools across all axis of operation.
  • Optimization: Calculate speeds and feeds to meet specific surface finish requirements.
  • Work holding: Apply expert knowledge of fixturing and part-holding principles.
  • Quality & SPC: Perform inspections using appropriate tools and apply SPC principles to monitor tool wear and tolerances
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of CNC experience (Swiss-style or Multi Turret/Multi Spindle turning is a significant plus).
  • Education: High School Diploma required; Technical Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Mastery of GD&T, precision measurement tools, and a "right-first time" mentality.
  • Attributes: High level of creativity for new product development and strong attention to detail.
  • Physical: Ability to stand for long periods, lift 50 lbs, and work in a loud environment.
