NV5 is seeking a Transportation Assistant Engineer for our Alpharetta, GA office. The Transportation EIT will provide engineering design, calculations, CAD support, and project assistance for the Transportation Design group. The ideal candidate will provide design support and be able to complete assigned projects on time and within budget. The most frequent and essential work activities include:

  • Complete roadway design plans under the direct supervision of a professional engineer.
  • Work alone and in small groups.
  • Use MicroStation and Inroads/Openroads software.
  • Assist engineers and designers in the development and production of engineering plans and specifications on a variety of transportation projects.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with familiarity with Microsoft Products such as Excel and Outlook

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • 0-3 years of previous roadway design or other transportation engineering experience
  • EIT Certification required
  • Knowledge of Microstation and Inroads/Openroads software a plus
  • Must be willing to travel on occasion
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment is preferred
