This onsite position will be located at our Cityline building in Richardson, TX. The EPA (Engineering Project Assistant) will be responsible for assisting engineers with non-technical tasks such as administrative, documentation, process and general engineering related support activities. Individuals must demonstrate the ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail, support multiple engineers and provide a wide variety of administrative and computer related tasks to assist engineering projects. This individual will perform as primary engineering support focal point for inquiries and problem resolution.  Must possess ability to coordinate and lead activities as well as strong organization and analytical skills.

What You Will Do:

  • Create, edit and format engineering documentation

  • Submit documents to Software Control Library (SCL) and track progress

  • Performing Data Transfer Agent (DTA) duties

  • Support the Peer Review process utilizing the PREP tool

  • Provide tools expertise and support to Engineering

  • Support the Third-Party Intellectual Property (TPIP) process by coordinating completion of documentation

  • DOORS Administration – create user accounts and manage group/member access

  • Assist in tracking action items and tasks for risk management and change management processes

  • Collect metrics and support the preparation of presentation materials

  • Support the Bid & Proposal process, by reviewing bid narratives

  • Grant access to drives, repositories and labs

  • Parts ordering and tracking

  • Create meeting minutes for internal and external customer meetings

  • Works with engineering teams to effectively resolve issues.

  • Assist Engineering leads with various project management tasks as required

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance

  • Prior experience working on teams in a collaborative environment 

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The salary range for this role is 43,400 USD - 82,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
