Job description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist experienced in operating both manual and CNC machinery. Working within a small team of 2-5 members, you will play a key role in ensuring precision and quality in our production processes. This role requires regular scheduled overtime and extended hours to meet production demands.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual and CNC machinery to manufacture parts such as lathes, gundrills and hydromats.
  • Set up tools and fixtures accurately for machining tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Reads routers, and production schedules for product specifications such as dimensions, tolerance, and number of parts to be processed and when. Read special instructions as required. Records information for inspection and production using various forms, logs and computer systems.
  • Perform precision measurements to verify part specifications.
  • Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and process issues promptly.
  • Operates overhead hoists, and hand jacks. Loads and unloads various types of containers, which in include but are not limited to pans, bins, baskets and trays.
  • Report production progress and issues regularly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of machining experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates and ratios. Knowledge of metric system
