THE ROLE
The Toledo Complex includes the Huntington Center and the Glass City Center, and this role provides support across both locations. Under the direction of the Director of Food & Beverage, this individual is responsible for supporting all concessions operations, including service execution, daily operations, staff management, and inventory standards for food and beverage functions throughout the facilities. This role is also responsible for inventory control with a strong emphasis on forecasting and production needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise concessions employees in the preparation and service of food and refreshments, as well as clean-up.
  • Assists in the training of concessions employees engaged in preparing and cooking food to ensure high quality, efficient and profitable food service.
  • Create a positive customer experience and maintain a pleasant attitude when working with staff and customers.
  • Works with Warehouse Supervisor and purchases concessions product, according to anticipated demand and familiarity with public taste in food and beverages.
  • Works with Director to determine the menu and price.
  • Directs food storage, preparation, and serving of retail products by workers at concession stands.
  • Tabulates receipts and balances accounts and generates reports for Finance as needed.
  • Inventories all products located in concession stands on hand at end of each day or other designated period.
  • Works within guidelines for food and labor costs.
  • Comply with Corporate initiatives, Health Department and ABC regulations.
  • Schedules team using ABIMM for events and day work as needed.
  • Staff and manage team working at Huntington Center & Glass City Center.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises all employees in concessions. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, desired.
  • 1 to 2 years' related experience and/or training.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous management experience in a similar venue.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification
  • ServSafe Alcohol Certification
  • ServSafe Allergen Certification

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Demonstrated ability to control costs, generate increased revenue and manage accounts payable/receivable and financial reporting.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to navigate constant change.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to train workers in preparation and cooking food to ensure high quality, efficient and profitable food service.
  • Ability to manage several direct reports.
  • Must be able to pass a background/credit check
  • Experience working with Excel, Word, and Outlook Microsoft 365, preferred.
  • Experience with POS software used in F&B

COMPENSATION
Competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
