Job description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer with experience in coating technologies to support aerospace and gas turbine component manufacturing in Carson City, NV.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on developing, improving, and supporting Air Plasma Spray (APS) and thermal spray coating processes. You’ll work directly with manufacturing equipment and production teams to troubleshoot processes, develop new coating programs, improve equipment, and support new product introduction.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop, optimize, and support Air Plasma Spray (APS) and thermal spray coating processes
  • Create and improve coating programs, tooling, and process parameters
  • Support robotic coating systems and programming; FANUC experience is a plus
  • Troubleshoot coating, equipment, and manufacturing process issues
  • Lead equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and process qualification
  • Work with aerospace and gas turbine components from development through production
  • Analyze process performance and implement sustainable improvements
  • Utilize CMM, laser/white-light scanning, gages, and other inspection methods
  • Prepare engineering procedures, specifications, reports, and technical documentation
  • Partner with manufacturing, quality, operations, and other engineering teams

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience with coating technologies
  • Experience in manufacturing or process engineering
  • Familiarity with thermal spray, Air Plasma Spray (APS), HVOF, or similar coating processes is highly preferred
  • Aerospace, aircraft engine, turbine, or industrial gas turbine experience is a strong plus
  • Experience with robotic programming or FANUC systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of CMM, laser scanning, white-light inspection, gages, or similar measurement methods
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Metallurgy, 3D CAD, FEA, and Lean/continuous improvement experience are beneficial

Compensation: $81,680–$107,205 annually

Location: Carson City, Nevada – Onsite

This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting the manufacture and repair of critical aerospace and gas turbine components.
