Job description

Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon LEO will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
As a RF Systems Integration and Validation Engineer, you will be the hands-on owner of test setups and systems that validate our phased array and RF communication systems

You'll assemble and configure test stations and frameworks to execute test plans and validate software/hardware performance metrics and support integration campaigns across lab, environmental, and in-orbit testing.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with RF hardware, Linux command line tools, and mechanical fixtures, and who can quickly turn ambiguous test goals into reliable test execution.
Key job responsibilities
- Execute integration and validation test plans for phased arrays, RF front-ends, and full communication chains, documenting results and anomalies.
- Operate test equipment and Linux-based control systems via command-line tools and scripts; contribute to scripting improvements (e.g., Python, Matlab, Bash).
- Build, configure, and maintain RF and system test setups, including cabling, fixtures, motion systems, and environmental test interfaces.
- Work with mechanical, antenna, and RF engineers to design and refine fixtures, mounts, and interfaces for repeatable measurements.
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of test failures across RF, digital, and mechanical domains; provide clear written and verbal summaries.
- Ensure test setups are safe, documented, and reproducible, including maintaining test procedures, checklists, and configuration control.
- Provide feedback to systems development and test automation engineers to improve robustness and usability of automated test flows.
- Assist with environmental and qualification testing (thermal, vibe, EMI/EMC, etc.) as needed.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S

as a refugee or granted asylum.
About the team
You will join the hands-on test and integration wing of the Phased Array Systems organization, working side by side with Systems Dev, Antenna, RF, Software, and EMI/EMC engineers. Our test engineers build and run the test infrastructure that validates performance, reliability, and manufacturability for antennas and RF systems. We partner closely with sustaining engineering, factories, and operations to ensure our test strategies scale to high volume.
