Nystrom & Family Care Therapy is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. In this full-time position, you will provide essential mental health support to individuals grappling with trauma, PTSD, and related disorders through a telehealth platform. • Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to accurately evaluate patients' mental health needs and construct tailored treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at building coping mechanisms and processing trauma experiences in a safe space.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure cohesive and integrated care plans.
• Engage in crisis intervention strategies to support patients experiencing immediate trauma-related distress.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and the resources available to support their recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma care advancements.
• Stay current with developments in trauma therapy through training and research, applying new insights to improve treatment outcomes.

You will primarily serve individuals affected by trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, dissociative disorders, and various mental health concerns stemming from traumatic experiences. Your ability to establish rapport and trust with clients is essential in empowering them on their recovery path.

• A Master’s degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to mental health excellence.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and expertise in trauma-informed therapeutic methodologies.
• Ability to create a healing environment distinguished by compassionate and non-judgmental care.
• Familiarity with therapeutic electronic health record (EHR) systems and remote consultation frameworks.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Demonstrated success in utilizing trauma-focused therapies and interventions to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Experience in providing both individual and group therapy in a telehealth environment.
• Background in crisis intervention and emergency response within a therapeutic context.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
