Job description

We are committed to providing high quality, multidisciplinary care by professionals who recognize the need for comprehensive assessment of needs from both the client and professional’s point of view.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Caring Hand Home Health Solutions, you will work alongside a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover, regain mobility, and return to the activities they love — all from the comfort of their homes.

Please note that this role is per diem with a rate of $90 - $95 per visit.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver hands-on physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, following each patient's care plan.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and the use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetics.
  • Apply physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to relieve pain and restore function.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team.
  • Document care accurately and on time, and participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
  • Perform other duties as required for patient services

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Active PTA license from the Physical Therapy Board of California.
  • Current CPR certification with AHA.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable insured vehicle, and willingness to travel to patient homes.
