Job description
The Graduate Assistant for Mission Integration and Institutional Belonging provides administrative, programmatic, and operational support to the Office of Mission Integration and Institutional Belonging and the Adrian Dominican Institute for Mission, Teaching, and Learning. This role supports initiatives that advance Barry University's mission, with a focus on inclusive community, institutional belonging, and mission integration across campus. The Graduate Assistant assists with coalition activities, events, digital platforms, resource coordination, and collaboration with mission-focused community partners. The position also helps coordinate and support undergraduate student employees assigned to the Adrian Dominican Institute and related reporting units.
Essential Functions
- Provide administrative and logistical support for the Coalition for Institutional Belonging and its mission circles, including scheduling, meeting preparation, file maintenance, goal-setting support, and reporting.
- Support ADI and MIIB events, trainings, initiatives, and community partner collaborations, including event setup, registration, logistics, and cleanup.
- Maintain ADI and MIIB digital platforms, physical spaces, and resources, including CORQ postings, website highlights, Teams channels, workstations, resource libraries, and promotional materials.
- Supervise and coordinate undergraduate student employees working with the Adrian Dominican Institute, including organizing assignments, supporting their contributions, and facilitating meetings and professional development sessions.
- Collaborate with ADI reporting units and MIIB stakeholders to support mission integration, institutional belonging, and related programs or initiatives.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Enrolled in or pursuing a graduate program in Education, Social Work, Social Sciences, Theology, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills, with the ability to manage schedules, files, meetings, and event logistics.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, community partners, and mission-focused teams.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in mission integration, institutional belonging, inclusive community, student development, or related areas.
- Availability to work up to 20 hours per week in person during regular office hours, with occasional evening or weekend support for events
