We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer-Amusement Park/ Theme Park/Rides for our client in the Engineering Solutions domain. Role Description: The Mechanical Engineer - Amusement Park/ Theme Park/Rides must have 5+ years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical System Design & Development:

- Design, develop, and implement fully integrated mechanical assembly systems to meet complex process requirements.

- Conduct analysis and calculations on systems, including stress, fatigue, load calculations, acceleration forces, and material stress design.

- Perform risk assessments and failure effects analysis to ensure the safety and reliability of mechanical systems.

- Select appropriate components and materials while considering redundancy to minimize single points of failure.

System Analysis & Troubleshooting:

- Conduct system analysis/calculations, including stress, fatigue, reliability, life expectancy, and tolerance studies.

- Troubleshoot and design pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, ensuring proper function and compliance with system requirements.

- Analyze system designs for hazard identification, mitigation, and compliance with applicable design/implementation codes and safety standards (e.g., ASTM Standards).

- Review ride system designs, ensuring they meet attraction requirements such as guest accelerations, reach envelope, weight considerations, and emergency evacuation protocols.

Project Leadership & Management:

- Act as the technical lead on projects, guiding engineers, designers, drafters, and contractors.

- Serve as Project Manager on smaller projects (ranging from $50k to $250k), developing and executing implementation plans, assigning tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met.

- Coordinate project schedules, purchasing, and subcontractor requirements while evaluating project progress and implementing changes as necessary.

- Prepare and submit change orders and proposals for contract scope alterations.

Documentation & Reporting:

- Develop comprehensive system documentation, including Theory/Description of Operation, Detailed Mechanical System Design, and System Implementation/Acceptance Test Plans.

- Create and maintain detailed mechanical design drawings, assembly instructions, and installation procedures using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.

- Assist with system start-up, debugging, and the development of system documentation.

Collaboration & Communication:

- Work effectively in a multi-disciplined environment, collaborating with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders.

- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, ensuring all project team members understand project scope and requirements.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.

Job Requirements:

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

- 5+ years of experience in mechanical systems design, analysis, and integration, preferably in large-scale projects.

- Strong knowledge of stress analysis, acceleration forces, material stress design, and mechanical system design.

- Familiarity with amusement ride safety standards (e.g., ASTM Standards).

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks for mechanical design and documentation.

- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic control systems design and troubleshooting is a plus.

Key Competencies:

- In-depth knowledge of mechanical system components and stress analysis.

- Familiarity with contract documents, specifications, and field data collection.

- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
