What is theatre communications?

Theatre communications refers to the various methods and strategies used to convey information and coordinate activities within a theatre organization. This field encompasses internal communication among staff, cast, and crew, as well as external communication with audiences, media, and the public. Effective theatre communications ensure that productions run smoothly, marketing efforts are successful, and all stakeholders are informed and engaged. These skills ensure effective promotion of productions, strong audience engagement, and successful collaboration with artists and stakeholders.

How does a theatre communications professional typically collaborate with production and artistic teams during a show's run?
